Our Cubs had a great time learning about Parliament last week. We saw some excellent campaigning and debating.
The young people at the 16th certainly know how to get their voices heard!
Five of our bravest Scouts camped out in freezing weather last weekend and took part in the Hertfordshire Green Beret Challenge. It really was a test of endurance and they did the group and themselves proud. Well done team!
The Cubs had a great time raising money for Comic Relief. Thanks for our magic show Adam!
What a year that was! Fun or adventure, fun and friendship. Here’s to the next 100!
It is nearly time for our intrepid scouts to leave for their extraordinary adventure to the beautiful Swiss town on Kandersteg to a Scout Camp with a difference.
I’ll try to update this page with updates and pictures.
Watch this space!
Congratulations to our Oakdene Explorer unit that sent two teams to this year’s Peak Assault #PeakAssault #HPA2015 #CCHertsScouts
The secret location this year was Howgill fells in the northwest corner of the Yorkshire Dales, north of Sedbergh.
Last Friday saw our scouts making and racing rubber-band cars. Some exciting and innovative designs and some very striking decoration.
Looks as if our Peak-camp Scouts are having a brilliant time – plenty of good weather. Enough at least to take a few pics (thanks Kerry!).
Here they are in their Ice-Age branded T’s.
And, here they are having some tasty Mammoth Sausages 😉
